Minor in Psychology
Minor Plan of Study
Print out the Minor Plan of Study above. To obtain a minor in Psychology, students are required to take at least 16 credits, 200-level or above, and receive a grade of “C” (2.0) or better in each course. (PSYC 294, Field Experience, is not included due to the S/U grading designation.)
After taking Psyc 132 and Psyc 133, Minor students must take one course from the Social Science perspective, one course from the Natural Science perspective, as well as three other 200 level psychology electives. Psyc 202WQ Research Methods, is a RECOMMENDED course but is not required in the minor.
To declare a psychology minor, simply follow the plan of study. There are no forms or applications needed. During the first four weeks of your last semester, submit FIVE (5) copies of your completed Minor Plan of Study to the Tri-Campus Psychology Department at your campus location for a signature. The Tri-Campus Psychology Department will keep one (1) copy, forward two (2) copies to the Psychology Department in Storrs and the Degree Auditing Office, and give you two (2) copies, one to keep until you have received your diploma and one to give to your major advisor.
